The Night Before Architecture Analysis Presentation

March 27, 2012  |  My Life  |  Share

Dean Steve Miller is always so proud of SIS students, and after doing the course of Architecture Analysis, I finally understand this sense of achievement. This course is indeed a great test of team work, co-ordination, determination, ability to find answers to real problems, and produce a solution that is workable. Pardon me for any poor taste of language… After all, it’s 5.27am. But I’m still quite excited and wide awake.

This is one of only two group-study-rooms (GSR) in SMU with air-conditioned switched on after 12 mid-night.

Our own personal air-con unit! Nice!!!

Look at how talented we are? This is the drawing of one of our team-mates which we are waiting for the system to perform automated load-testing… We work hard, but SMART too!

Seldom that you still see these wires around these days yeah!

whoops! the girls having a game of uno while waiting. after all its their last semester… The feeling of working with final year students sometime sucks because their topic of discussion is always so fun… “GRADUATION TRIP!” Urhhh! My time will come soon! ONE MORE YEAR!

My mid-night supper from the vending machines at LKCSB.

Look at the fresh ingredients in there!!!! Mama-mia~

ooooooozzZZzzoooooo

See what I made for the Girls!!! ^_^
All so shyy…..

Spooky dark!

OMG!!! What did Jessie see in there???

It takes a special breed to be a SIS student… We can work hard, till the wee hours, and still have lots of fun!

Conclusion: We are obsessively enjoying what we are doing!

Lasalle inspires… now I can draw too…

This is xiao bai  (小白), my little rabbit who celebrated her first birthday last month… She uber cute.. My little princess

My Sketch

On friday, we had a SMU-SIS website feedback session, where our dean Steve Miller wanted to give the design company responsible for the creative work, an opportunity to crowdsource from some of his brightest students…  Bye

Above is my rough sketch on how I will like the new SIS website to look like, incorporating many social media elements. It is a miracle that I can draw now (thinking of the days in secondary school where I drew a sun and my teacher thought it was a cat…  Sweat)

It must be my constant visit to Lasalle… haha… yes, i spend more time in Lasalle these days than SMU.. People dress better, environment is more chill, and less stressful to get work done. In SMU, everyone looks so stressed mugging…

Studying should be fun! If it’s not fun, why do it? I enjoy studying in my way, cos it’s fun!

CapitaMall Vouchers

Dean’s office was really nice, and gave each of us $20 capitaMall vouchers in appreciation.

I’ve to say that in the three hour, I learned more than I contributed through the interactions with the folks from Pebbleroad. They are actually quite big into design thinking, which I thought is pretty interesting. Following’s some links that you can consider, to put yourself to bed…  Yawn

Back to assignments….

Definition of design thinking by Tim Brown, CEO, IDEO

“Design thinking can be described as a discipline that uses the designer’s sensibility and methods to match people’s needs with what is technologically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity.
