The weather in Singapore has been pretty erratic this month; being very hot in the morning and heavy downpours in the afternoon. I was just complaining about the heat in the morning. Who knows? After lunch, suddenly heavy raiN!!
So instead of walking back to SMU after lunch, I had to take MRT instead.
The fastest way from Bugis back to Bras Basah is to take a train from Bugis to Cityhall, then walk to Esplanade station and change to circle line. While I was walking along the under-path link to Esplanade, guess what… It appeared that the heavy downpour has caused the basement of Raffles City to be really WETTTT!

Some shops had to close and staff members taking pictures of the scene…

Mall maintenance team fighting to keep the water at bay…

Ewww… SO disgusting…

This is not wet floor already… It’s very very wet….

Aunty… You win liao lor… This one not foot reflexology leh… Later kena cut by the sharp metal, you sue people never put sign to “WANG” you that it is dangerous, like how that old women sue mac-donald for the hot coffee scalding her and never put cautious hot on the cup (read more on the mac-donald case)

Oh no!!! Even the circle line ceiling is leaking… Will it collapse? OMG!!!

Just Joking… Why so serious… ![]()
Taking five minutes off work to write this quick blog entry… ![]()
As many of you will have already known, I’m a huge fan of Taiwan, largely because of the people, foods, weather, fashion, shopping and… the list just goes on… They should seriously hire me to work in Taiwan Tourism Board.
Went to church this evening (yay! I may go to heaven
) after doing some work at SMU, and headed to Raffles City to get dinner and facial wipes.
I was surprised to chance by this outlet outside Gardian: Xiao Bar Wang. It has a really interesting stall concept and the aroma of Taiwanese fried chicken was the push factor that really attracted me. Haha…

The sets are quite affordable. Mee Sua + Tea at $4, while Chicken + Tea at $4.10.

This spoon goes up and down. I was astonished at first, but after taking a closer look, the mechanism is actually hidden behind the mee..

This is how it looks like… It really tastes like Ah Zhong Mee Sua of Taiwan…

Until you think I have a good life, zoom out, I’m rushing some assignments… ![]()

It’s quite noticeable by now that I’ve been hanging-out with many Phds these days; most of them working in the SMU research centers. This is partly due to the fact that I am looking forward to pursuing my Phd too (in two-three years time).

This is Dr. Azeem who got his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), a very prestigious university that some claimed is as hard to get in as world-famous MIT.

Awesome Thai milk-tea… Yay!!! It tastes really good, just that it’s overpriced at Thai Express

My low-carb meat soup in hope to lose some waist line… I think I will succeed this time round…

Visited Jeric Salons sometime in the middle of the week to get a quick haircut… Really like the stylist Tatsuya. I will highly recommend him if you want a nice hairstyle with is easy to maintain. Kai and Jeric of Jeric Salons are another two that I will highly recommend to guy. But do note that they are all Director level, so expect to pay between $50 and $90 depending on what you do…

Was randomly strolling at Plaza Singapura before heading to meet my OCSP Taiwan gang to celebrate Francis’ Birthday, and somehow I bought these set of colored lenses.

After pestering the girl at Spectacle Hut, she gave me two sets of free colored lenses…

This is my new contacts… Awwww… So beautiful eyes… Don’t you think my skin’s in quite a good condition too?

Okay! here is the b(H)imbo moment… I went to embed my logo onto my new macbook. Had been searching for a long long time for a suitable place to print it, and finally found G-Mask at Plaza Singapura.

Don’t you think they did a pretty good job?? hehe… All my girl-friends have been so thrilled by it! hahaa… Those are real Swarovski crystals (which I managed to get for free too!!! yay!!)..
